The slippery slope Rangers were on appears to have been gritted finally. So much so that we can finally risk taking a look at the Championship table.
Along with the leaves falling, the clocks going back and the nights drawing in, autumn usually means things change at QPR. Not this time around, though, believes Dave.
Love & Hate
Ever wondered how popular QPR are out there in Championship land? Not very is the short answer.
The bit where we invite a group of Rangers fans to share their views on a variety of topics. This time around it’s their views on the team and on the manager, whether a play-off position is or isn’t within the realms of possibility for us, whether Steve McClaren was right to select a second string XI at Blackpool in the EFL Cup - and concerns over low Loftus Road attendances so far this season, and what can be done about it.
T’Ain’t What You Do
Managing a football club? Hardest job in the world, right? John Leighton doesn’t think so - and reckons the key to being a successful manager is simple.
On balance, Beth Peach is pleased to see more experienced players arriving on loan - but worries whether that will be to the cost of developing the younger players.
In The Pink
No prizes for guessing from the title that Ray Eaton’s focus this time around is on the current second kit design. And not just that, Ray takes a wider look at the design of QPR kits and thinks that it’s not possible to better the iconic hoops, in both blue & white and the classic red & black.
Young At Heart
Keith Young continues his memories of a lifetime supporting QPR. Here he’s in the 1970s, recently moved to the back of beyond - or Chalfont, as it’s better known. He’s also travelling to games in Stanley, his new car, cadging tickets off players, running the gauntlet at away games, and occasionally finding himself sitting next to a former Miss World.
